Jacobs was the daughter of a family who was the owner of Jackson Koehler Eagle Brewery, established by the family in Erie Pennsylvania 1847. John Martin Magenau Jr. was in the post of CEO and President since 1978, until the brewery's the brewery's closure in 1978. Jacobs started acting classes when she was 8 years old and continued to attend sessions on Saturdays at Pittsburgh Playhouse. Mt. Jacobs went to Lebanon High School from 2000 to the year 2004. In 2004, she earned a bachelor degree.
